Welcome to space! Not really, but if you're playing video games, then you'll likely get there sooner rather than later, like In Space. You are someone who has recently arrived in space or been sent to space for some reason. After a few seconds, it becomes clear that you may have been sent to space for pest control because there are alien bugs EVERYWHERE. At least you're a trained soldier with armor and future weapons to exterminate them. It's you against the swarm though so be careful when it comes to charging into the fray. You can get stronger but so will the bugs.

About In Space

You can come up with all sorts of reasons to send someone to space, but it's usually for action-based reasons. This game puts you in a part of space that will have you fighting for your life almost all the time. This means that you'll need to be on the move and accurate when it comes to fighting the bugs and trying to clear out this part of space. It won't be easy and the bugs will never stop coming so you're going to have to try to outlast them. It can take a few tries, but only you are the one one who can do it.

How to Play

In Space is a 2D top-down survivors-like game about a soldier fighting a growing swarm of bugs using the mouse and keyboard.

Controls

  • W/Up Arrow - Move Up
  • S/Down Arrow - Move Down
  • A/Left Arrow - Move Left
  • D/Right Arrow - Move Right

The goal is to exterminate all the bugs and to keep getting stronger as they do. Your health and experience will be shown at the top left corner of the screen. The levels of all your upgrades will be shown across the top. If your health drops to zero, your run will end.

You can start playing from the main menu and you'll spawn in the middle of a metal area. The bugs will start coming in from all sides and will start homing in on your location. You can start moving and firing as long as you have ammo. When you run out, you'll need a few moments to reload. Enemy health will be displayed above them when they get hit. When you kill enough enemies, you'll level up and will be able to choose one upgrade that will make you more powerful and help you survive longer. As time goes on, bugs will get bigger and more dangerous.

You can also break open containers in the area to find health pickups if needed. There are also gems to collect which can be used in the Shop to upgrade your suit before you start a new run.

Tips and Tricks

You need to constantly keep moving and do your best to keep the bugs coming at you from one direction. If you can, aim to improve your weapon as early as possible since swarms of enemies will easily absorb shots. The crates should be used sparingly since they will take some time to respawn after being broken.
